Yanomani: music of the Amazons

Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia provide the background for some of the richest folklore in the world.  The Andes on one side and the Amazon on the other are the background to a wealth of music and traditions that have evolved throughout the centuries, and have inspired composers such as Villa-Lobos, Marlos Nobre, Grau, Sierra, and others.  Nobre's piece is inspired by the death rituals of the Yanomami, who continue to live according to their centuries long traditions, despite shrinking territories.  With guitar.
